BLAKE CORBET

Blake was president of Anagram Pictures for 11 years, where he oversaw the creative evolution of one of Canada's most unique and diverse production companies. While at Anagram, Blake produced the critically acclaimed Mile Zero, then went on to write and produce The Delicate Art of Parking, which opened with Canada's #1 per screen average, followed by the environmental thriller The Thaw, starring Val Kilmer. Blake raised 11M$ for one of Canada's most ambitious feature films to date:  FIDO, starring Billy Connolly and Carrie-Anne Moss, which was distributed in the USA by Lionsgate. Blake was also responsible for guiding Anagram into the TV market, writing and producing the critically acclaimed CTV movie Elijah, which won two Canadian Screen Awards in 2009 for best TV-movie or mini-series and best screenplay.

Under Blake Corbet Productions, Blake has more recently produced four movies for the Syfy Channel, and the 10 part Syfy limited series Vagrant Queen (2020) created by Gem Gerrard. Blake seeks to develop and produce scripted properties which are unique, entertaining, and which aspire to contribute to our quickly evolving culture in a meaningful way.
